post burn yoga

the man is gone and you're still starry eyed. instead of dropping right back into reality, ease into the day with a languid last yoga practice. join in any time. hosted by: heebeegeebee healers @ 7:30 and ego

what another beautiful day to wake up to, especially after such an awesome night with elsbeth. and what a better way to start the day off than some soulful reggae riddims?

i headed down to the beach to hear nelson's own koots roots all stars. dancing on the beach to conscious reggae riddims, barefoot, surrounded by mountains and friends. *sigh* life is beautiful.

the koots roots all stars are one solid band. memories of wednesday nights at the rez avoir in nelson came flooding back to me. it was even better to have familiar faces on the beach to dance with. unfortunately i didn't have my camera with me...my outfit wasn't eh best for carrying it. so i just took these ones from the shambhala forum.

i made the skirt from an old christmas tree skirt that my mom had, and added a the extra red piece to it so that it fit around my waist. i was glad to try out my santa outfit here at shambles, all in preparation for santarchy at burning man this year. aah, santarchy.

i finally got to run into owen on the beach today. man i miss that guy. he was such an important part of my winter. we did so much together, and i was so glad to hear that i'd see him this year at shambhala. owen, it was awesome to see you again brother...even better to dance with you to some conscious reggae riddims. enjoy victoria.

i ran into anke and headed back to her car for an afternoon picnic in the sun.

have i mentioned how good it feels to be back around my kutenai family again? i love you anke. you fukkin rawk!

a change of clothes was in order, so i returned to our camp to get ready for my last night of celebration here at shambhala. ran into some creativity on my way back.

this place is awesome!

our neighbours were gettin ready for a night out as well. i love costumes, outfitting your personality.

i met this radiant goddess who flew up from sacaramento just for shambhala. it was her first time in canada, and she loved it here. she was commenting on how canadians are so polite, and how she had never seen ketchup chips before. are kethup chips really canadian?

the band playing at the rock pit was called the hell and backs. they were fun to listen to. i really like how there is more than just electronic music here at shambhala.

we linked up with anke and kristin's friend kelsey. daam, there are some good lookin peeps here *rraow*

the sunday night party at shambhala is the best night here. it reminded me of the sunday night at om: those who prepare to be away for this once a year celebration are all out sunday night ready to get down.

kristin and i made a stop at our bench, the log bench near the village that we spent so much time on six years ago. i'm glad i had a camera this time.

yup, i was definitely a bit larger back then...about 30lbs larger than i am now.

the village was the place to be tonight, and it was going off!

lorin bassnectar stepped up to the village decks and threw down a siiiick set. man, i love this guy, and so do his fans. people were losing their shit! of course they were, lorin rawks da fukkin hard jam! the sound was awesome, the stetup was wikkid, and the beatz were world class. maad props to the pk krew for doing such an awesome job of setting up the village and the badass soundsystem.

raving is for beautiful people.

fuck you raver!

fuck you hippie!

my kissing banditry was taken to new levels tonight as i tried out a new technique...wear it on my sleeve! more like wear it on my sign. i replaced "merry clitoris" with "kiss me, i'm really good at it"...and it worked very very well. ask for what you want, respect boundaries, and show gratitude.

"can i give you a kiss? whatever you are comfortable with. thank you."

the most people i have made out with i one night was at darryl and isa's wedding dance party. that night i made out with 13 people. i did have the advantage of knowing everyone there, so that helped. i didn't know everyone at shambhala, but i did have a sign...and i ended up making out with more people than at darryl and isa's party. actually, i ended up kissing 47 people on the lips or cheek and i made out with an additional 20 people made out with me. gawd i love kissing.

it ain't a kutenai party without stevland and britz...i love you guys.

and celebratin with brett, laura, and elsbeth is always a recipe for a good time...especially when we're celebratin in a forest!

fire is sexxxy.

moonlight is trippy.

and there is a high conentration of conscious and realized people here at shambhala.

the wishing tree in the morning light

morning mist

the sun broke through the morning mist as we danced at the fractal forest.

keep on jumpin, let your body fly. everybody bumpin, till you see the sun and the sky.

there were some colourful and interesting characters in the fractal forest in the morning.

teehee...monkees.

even care bears

i love you elsbeth! i'm so glad that you drove all this way to celebrate with me.

i love you kristin. i am so happy that i returned to shambhala with you. you mean so much to me. thank you for everything!

what an incredible night of rockin beats, sexxxy peeps, and kissing banditry at its finest. shambhala is the best outdoor celebration that this country has to offer for so many reasons. if you can make it to the kutenais for this one of a kind celebration, you'll be happy you did.

czech out all of my pix from shambhala here in my pikcha archive
